The restaurant serves smørrebrød, Danish open sandwiches, at lunch and Danish dishes in the evening. The building has housed a restaurant since 1939 and was formerly Teglkroen, a simple craftsmen's tavern. The street name comes from a nearby brick works, first recorded in 1563. The ice cream is from Kastberg Is, the chicken for some dishes from Hopballe Mølle, and there is draught beer from Krenkerup Bryggeri, Danish akvavit and gluten-free beer from Svaneke.
On the last Sunday of each month from 4 pm there is mormormad, traditional home-style grandmother's food, and in November and December a julefrokost, the Christmas lunch. You can book a table, sit outside and bring dogs. The entrance and toilet are not wheelchair accessible.
