The restaurant is in a protected building in medieval Copenhagen, rebuilt in 1809 after the 1807 bombardment. The cooking is French and Nordic inspired, with a short à la carte menu and recommended three or five-course menus. The bread is baked in-house, the demi-glace is made from scratch, and pepper steak is flambéed at the table. The wine list has about 100 wines, mostly Old World.
The ground floor has a cocktail bar and wine cellar and hosts French burlesque shows. Upstairs there are rooms for private parties. Tables can be booked, and it suits groups. The entrance is not wheelchair accessible.
