This smørrebrød restaurant (traditional Danish open sandwiches) in Østerbro, Copenhagen, makes food from scratch using good Danish ingredients. The building goes back to 1883, when a tavern opened here. A clockmaker's large illuminated clock in the window gave it the nickname "Under Uret" (under the clock), which became the official name in 1906. One family owned it from 1927 to 2014.
It serves lunch and dinner for parties, with a private room for about 30 people and space for about 60 in the whole restaurant. Tables can be booked online or by phone. There is outdoor seating in summer, and beer, wine and coffee are served. Cards and mobile payments are accepted. The entrance is not wheelchair accessible.
