This smørrebrød bar, serving Danish open sandwiches, is in the Torvehallerne food market in Copenhagen. About 16 seats around a bar let guests watch the smørrebrød being made. Most of it is made from scratch with quality ingredients, bought locally where possible, and rye bread is the base of every piece. The bar opened in Torvehallerne in 2012 and has since added several outlets in the Copenhagen area.
You order at the counter, and tables cannot be booked, so a seat cannot be guaranteed. The smørrebrød is also available as takeaway or delivery, and there is catering. Vegetarian dishes and beer are served, and it is good for children. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, but the seating and toilet are not.
