This smørrebrød restaurant is on the fifth floor of the Magasin department store on Kongens Nytorv in Copenhagen, with views over the square and the Royal Danish Theatre. It is the largest of the chain's locations, with bar seating around the kitchen and about 80 other seats, and it suits lunch meetings. The open sandwiches are an updated take on the traditional kind, made from scratch with ingredients bought locally where possible, with sustainable fish and organic roast pork and boiled eggs. Rye bread is the foundation and stays visible on every piece, with no lettuce leaf or superfluous garnish.
Food can be taken away or delivered, and tables cannot be booked. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, but the toilet is not. It is good for children.
