The restaurant serves home-made Danish food in generous portions, including traditional dishes such as mushroom soup, roast beef, plaice and cod. Beer and brændevin (schnapps) are served with the food. The name goes back to Regitze Barner, a Copenhagen noblewoman who ran the shelter Bethania for poorer women at this address from 1889 until her death in 1911.
There is outdoor seating, a children's menu and table reservations. A private function room seats up to 50 guests and is used for family gatherings, julefrokoster (traditional Christmas lunches), birthdays and company events. Take-away and delivery are offered. Dogs are not allowed, and the restaurant is not wheelchair accessible.
