This lunch restaurant and pub (værtshus) in central Copenhagen stands next to the Round Tower (Rundetaarn) in the Latin Quarter. The kitchen serves Danish classics such as herring, stjerneskud, pariserbøf, biksemad and smørrebrød, Danish open sandwiches, with homemade remoulade. It has been an inn since 1789, and the street got its current name in 1818.
The kitchen is open Monday to Saturday. There is draught beer, special beers and quiz nights, and young and old meet here in the evenings. Groups of more than five should book food in advance because the kitchen is small. Tables can be reserved, and there is outdoor seating. Payment is possible by card and mobile.
