This democratic youth organisation has existed since 1956 and is led by a voluntary board, with a secretariat running day-to-day operations. Its aim is to give children and young people the chance to take part in music and to help young people create and run their own cultural projects.
It runs KulturSnedkeriet, an initiative for young people with a passion for culture. Participants receive training in project development and management, fundraising, volunteering and execution, and can later specialise in music, theatre, visual art or dance. It is supported by Tuborgfondet, run in co-operation with a music and culture school, and ends with the presentation and implementation of the participants' projects.
