This smørrebrød shop is run by Bendixen Mad and has sold Danish open sandwiches since 1947. The regular range includes herring dishes, egg, vegetarian, pork, beef and fish, among them Snapsemad with potato and herring. The luxury range has steak tartare, pariserbøf, hakkebøf, fried liver and smoked eel, and at Christmas there are pickled herring, brawn and cured brisket.
Order by phone or e-mail. Orders over 30 pieces need at least 24 hours' notice, over 50 pieces at least 48 hours. Gluten-free bread can be pre-ordered. Opening hours change with the season, and the shop closes in weeks 7 and 42 and over Christmas. You can pay by card and mobile.
