This is one of Copenhagen's oldest restaurants, serving traditional Danish food. The building dates from the mid-1700s, and the restaurant gives 1746 as its start. The name comes from a Russian consulate once housed here and Russian sailors who came ashore at Toldboden. The menu has smørrebrød (Danish open sandwiches) and lunch plates such as herring, roast beef, liver pâté, stjerneskud and dyrlægens natmad, plus platters for two or more.
The kitchen serves lunch every day, with dinner Wednesday to Friday. The courtyard terrace seats about 60 in summer, and party rooms can be hired. The restaurant takes reservations. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, but the seating is not.
