This is Aarhus's cathedral church, also known as Skt. Clemens Kirke, on Store Torv. It is 825 years old, and the anniversary is marked with a year-long programme of events. Carl Nielsen's only large organ work, Commotio, was premiered here in 1931. The church holds Sunday services, christenings and a weekday lunch service, as well as a series of Højskoleformiddage, morning lectures and presentations.
There are concerts, including organ concerts with the cathedral organist and Aarhus Domkirkes Kantori, and many events are free, some requiring registration. Guided tours and children's treasure hunts are offered as part of events. The church office is at Skt. Clemens Gård, Kannikegade 12. The entrance and parking are wheelchair accessible.
