This fountain in Aarhus lies near Dokk1, between Toldboden and Navitas. It was designed by the artist Jeppe Hein, and its changing patterns are said to be inspired by the starry sky over Aarhus. Two-metre-high walls of water rise and disappear at changing times, and you can step in and out of them and try to stay dry.
You can stand in the middle of the fountain and see the harbour through the walls of water. It suits children and is a summer attraction. It runs from mid-April to the end of October, 7 am to 11 pm. Admission is free, dogs are allowed, and the entrance is wheelchair accessible.
