This restaurant by the slaughterhouse in Aarhus was established in 1907, when the cattle market moved here, and was at first a meeting place for butchers, vets and farmers. It serves traditional Danish food with a modern touch, including lightly fried herring, stjerneskud, smoked eel, pariserbøf, bøfsandwich and stegt flæsk.
The menu has smørrebrød (Danish open sandwiches), fish dishes, hot dishes, cheese and dessert, and on special evenings there is a three-course menu. Parties of more than 8 must pre-order the menu. There is outdoor seating and free parking, and the seating and parking are wheelchair accessible. Dogs are not allowed, and there is no delivery.
