The café opened in 1938 in the corner of the old tram loop in Frederiksberg and is a classic Danish café serving brunch, lunch, dinner and coffee. It carries a playful slogan, 'Byens Dårligste Madsted' ('the town's worst eatery'), introduced in the 1960s and still part of its identity. The kitchen focuses on classic Danish café culture and traditional dishes such as smørrebrød (Danish open sandwiches), and there is a dish of the day.
