The café is in a basement on a cobbled side street about 40 metres from Strøget, and it is described as a small, quiet oasis. It serves hand-made smørrebrød, Danish open sandwiches, on rye bread with classic and modern toppings, such as herring with hand-peeled shrimp, roast beef with fried egg and a potato sandwich. There is also coffee, small dishes, cakes, cold beer, snaps and wine.
Tables can be booked for lunch and for julefrokost, the traditional Christmas lunch, through the website, and there is outdoor seating and takeaway. Dogs are not allowed inside, but guide dogs are welcome. The entrance and toilet are not wheelchair accessible.
