This restaurant is in a historic mill in the Marselisborg forest in Aarhus, surrounded by forest and the stream Varnabækken. The mill was founded as a gunpowder mill in 1637, and the current building dates from 1940. Lunch is served Thursday to Sunday, with seasonal smørrebrød (Danish open sandwiches) and Danish lunch classics with a twist, all made from scratch with local, seasonal ingredients.
Table booking is recommended for lunch. It also holds gastronomic dinners, chef gatherings and Sunday brunch, and hosts weddings, confirmations and other parties. There is a children's menu, outdoor seating and free parking, and the entrance, toilet and parking are wheelchair accessible.
