This museum in Odense shows Danish everyday culture, fashion, design and interiors from 1900 to 1999 in a permanent hands-on exhibition where you may sit in the furniture and open drawers. Audio diary stories from 1900-1999, told by actors, are available in the USEEUM app in Danish, English and German. The collection has supplied costumes and props to more than 70 film and TV productions, including Badehotellet and Lykke-Per. It opened in 1992 and was founded by the collector Annette Hage; today her daughter runs it.
There are guided conversations with costumed guides Monday to Thursday and education programmes for schools. There is a shop and a café, and the entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible. Wheelchairs can be rented.
