This bronze sculpture shows a sea horse with a mermaid on its back and stands in the Odense river at the entrance to Munke Mose. It has stood here since 1939 and is inspired by H.C. Andersen's fairy tales. It is part of Odense's fairy-tale sculpture trail in H.C. Andersen's birthplace.
The trail has a map and PDF on VisitOdense. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
