This small museum in Odense is the house where H.C. Andersen lived from the age of two to 14. The house consists of three small rooms and is part of Museum Odense. Behind it is a garden with many plants from the fairy tales and historic varieties, and in the courtyard the young Andersen sat beside a single gooseberry bush.
The ticket also covers H.C. Andersens Hus, about five minutes away, and can be bought on the website, which is also available in English. Schools and day-care institutions can book the Læringsuniverset programme at H.C. Andersens Hus, which won the international DASA prize from the European Museum Academy. The entrance and parking are not wheelchair accessible.
