This restaurant lies in the forest by Næsbyhoved in Odense, with views of forest, water and harbour, and is known locally as Skoven (the forest). The house was built in 1900 by the beer carter Jørgen Madsen and has been a meeting place for Odense ever since. It serves brunch, lunch and dinner à la carte, plus Sunday brunch. The restaurant seats 140 guests in one room, and the whole house can be booked for up to 300 people.
Weddings, parties, confirmations and julefrokost, the traditional Christmas lunch, are held here, and the rooms have their own names such as Flora Danica and Officerstuen. Tables can be booked online, gift cards bought and takeaway ordered. There is free parking by the door and wheelchair-accessible access on one floor, with a toilet.
