This trade and employer organisation for Danish pharmacists in Copenhagen looks after their professional interests. Denmark has over 530 pharmacies, and each is owned by a pharmacist appointed by the Danish Medicines Agency (Lægemiddelstyrelsen). The association has a secretariat of 52 employees, a board of seven pharmacists and four regional sub-associations, and it publishes the trade magazine Farmaci.
Dansk Farmacihistorisk Samling is an exhibition on the history of pharmacy at Pharmakon in Hillerød. It is open on Tuesdays from 1 pm to 4 pm, except in January, July and on public holidays, and guided tours can be booked. There is no wheelchair-accessible parking.
