This bar in Vesterbro, Copenhagen, is the first of its kind and sits in a cellar. It was founded with the aim of being one of the world's top beer bars and became the blueprint for later bars worldwide. The interior, designed with a Danish design studio, combines a traditional Danish pub feel with a light Scandinavian look.
The taps focus on the brewery's own beers, and there are guest bottles and a list of vintage bottles from the early days. Snacks range from Danish cheese to handmade sausages. Tables cannot be reserved, but groups of up to 10 can book by e-mail, and take-away is offered. Guests must be 18 or older. The place is not wheelchair accessible.
