This traditional Danish bodega, or neighbourhood pub, in central Copenhagen is a well-preserved old establishment with roots going back to around 1930, when sailors and pub troubadours made up most of the guests. American soldiers gathered here during the Second World War, and it was earlier called Strøg Cafeen. The back room has a mural used as the cover of Gasolin's third album.
Tables can be booked on the website, and the bar serves beer, wine and cocktails. It hosts a julefrokost, the traditional Christmas lunch, with Danish dishes and an open bar. It suits groups, and cards and mobile payments are accepted. The entrance is not wheelchair accessible.
