This bar in central Copenhagen opened in 1984. In 1935 the building housed Café Thit, named after the writer Thit Jensen, and from 1940 to 1984 the Selandia Bar. The interior is richly decorated, and the walls hold a collection of old and newer enamel signs. Jazz is a focus, with a Sunday jazz session roughly every third week, and the bar takes part in Copenhagen Jazz Festival, where a jazz prize, established in 1990, is awarded every year.
Lunch with smørrebrød, Danish open sandwiches, is served from 11 am. The bar suits groups, serves beer, wine and cocktails and has a toilet. There is no take-away or delivery, and the entrance is not wheelchair accessible.
