This patient association for people with osteoporosis was founded in 2003. Members receive the magazine Knogleliv, professional advice and access to events and webinars. The free advice line Knoglelinjen is staffed by doctors specialising in osteoporosis, a physiotherapist and a dietitian, and there is a digital course for the newly diagnosed.
The website offers a risk test that takes about two minutes and training guidance, including for people who have had fractures. More than 200 volunteers run local walks and cafés around the country, and the association awards research grants. Its office is in Aarhus.
