This is the Danish office of the Forest Stewardship Council, an international certification scheme for responsible forestry. FSC was founded in the early 1990s by environmental organisations and companies after the 1992 Rio climate summit. Work in Denmark began in 1996, and the Danish standard was approved in 2004. FSC Denmark has more than 130 members.
Forest owners can be FSC certified, and companies selling FSC-labelled products can obtain a licence to use the label. The system relies on independent annual audits. You can also become a member and join courses on the EU's new green claims rules and member networks.
