This brewery was founded in 2007 by two home brewers who were school friends. It began in a former atomic shelter and is owned only by the two founders. It is known for hoppy IPAs, rich imperial stouts and beers aged in whisky barrels, and its beers are sold in about 30 countries. It lies in a business area in Tårnby near Copenhagen Airport.
The brewery has a shop with typically 30 to 40 different bottles and cans, plus gift boxes, glasses and merchandise. It holds 5 to 6 events a year when new beers are released, and a summer festival, Amarikanerdag. The brewery has no licence to serve beer on site. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, and cards and mobile payments are accepted.
