How do you market your business in local search? Answers by Madloba Consult
A customer chooses you long before he calls. He looks you up on his phone, reads what it says about you, compares you with the place next door and decides in half a minute. You never see that half minute. You only see that the phone stays quiet.
Three things decide it. Whether your business is listed at all, and whether what is listed is correct. What other people have written about you. And what the machine answers when someone asks it about a place like yours.
The order matters more than the effort. Fix what is wrong first: address, opening hours, name, what kind of business you are registered as. That costs nothing and works straight away. Then the reviews. The website and the answers assistants give come last.
Three things we will not do, so nobody has to ask. We do not delete honest criticism. We remove what is false, and if a review is true we will say so and show you what caused it. We do not promise a position by a date. It can only be done dishonestly and it collapses in the third or fourth month. We do not take two competitors in the same neighbourhood.
We work in writing. No calls, no visits: everything stays readable, so you can go back to it a month later.
How to check it yourself
- Look your own business up on a phone, in a browser where you are not logged in. Type what you sell and the town, not your company name.
- Look at the first three businesses shown. Are you one of them? If not, who is?
- Read your own reviews from the newest one down. Stop at the first one you have not answered.
- Hold your opening hours and address, as they stand now, against the ones that actually apply.
- Ask an AI assistant which business in your trade and your town it would recommend. See whether you get mentioned.
Questions we get often
Corrections to the details themselves work straight away, because they were simply wrong. Reviews take longer, because they have to come from real customers, and that cannot be hurried without cheating.
You can buy them. They get found, and then you lose more than you paid for. We do not do it, and we say so out loud, because it is the fastest way to lose a profile you spent years building.
Not to be found. But once someone has found you, the website is the only place where you decide what it says. Everywhere else, other people decide.
