This is a small protected industrial building from 1916, part of TID, Museum for Odense. The power station supplied electricity to the surrounding factories of the former Thriges Fabrikker from the early 1900s until after the Second World War. The main attraction is a B&W diesel engine from 1923, kept running by volunteers from the Dieselgruppen. Inside are historical measuring instruments, cables and switches.
The engine is started at 10 am on the first Sunday of each month, except January and July, and watching is free. You may bring food and drink, and photography for private use is allowed without flash. Dogs are allowed in the courtyards but not inside the museum. Children under 16 may not visit alone.
