This spring lies beside Stavis Å, west of Rismarksbroen. It began as a grove and holy spring that supplied the townspeople with fresh water. It was named in 1831 after Crown Princess Caroline Amalie, and until the late 1840s a folk festival was held here on her birthday.
The spring was drained in the 1960s and restored in 2004. Today the water is ordinary groundwater. An elm-wood sculpture by Allan Bo Jensen shows Christian Frederik and Caroline Amalie, and the spring is part of the Stavis Ådal cultural history trail.
