This brewery in central Odense has brewed beer since 1859, when Theodor Schiøtz, a pharmacist, founded it as one of the city's first industrial companies. The range includes Odense Pilsner, Odense Classic, Albani Giraf Beer and Albani H.C. Andersen, plus seasonal brews such as an Easter and a Christmas beer. H.C. Andersen praised the beer in a letter from a stay in Odense.
In 2000 the brewery merged with Bryggerigruppen, today part of Royal Unibrew. There is a merchandise shop and a service for designing your own beer labels. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, and delivery is not offered.
