This church in Odense has a core from around 1200, with a Romanesque apse, choir and nave of dressed granite blocks. The walls have paintings from the Romanesque and Gothic periods, and the apse paintings are rare on Funen. The altarpiece is attributed to Claus Berg and is probably a preliminary work for the large altarpiece in Odense Cathedral.
The choir's north window is the only intact Romanesque window, with a dragon and vine motif linked to St Michael. In the late Middle Ages a tower, a porch and two transept arms were added. The entrance, parking and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
