This discount supermarket is part of a Danish grocery chain. The chain belongs to Salling Group, which is owned by the Salling Foundations (Salling Fondene), and it opened its first store on Godthåbsvej in Copenhagen in 1981. Today it has over 500 stores in Denmark and is the country's largest grocery chain.
The range covers about 1,800 products, a large fruit and vegetable section and weekly special offers. The chain's app gives members' prices, and the chain publishes a weekly offer paper, recipes and a newsletter on its website.
