This Danish lunch restaurant stands near Amalienborg in Copenhagen and dates from 1894. It offers classic smørrebrød, Danish open sandwiches, and Danish specialities, all made in-house, plus a wide selection of Danish and foreign snaps. It occupies one of the city's older buildings, from 1837, which was a hotel until the 1960s. Food comes on mussel-painted porcelain, and the walls carry drawings by the French artist Roubo le Jeune. It is listed in the MICHELIN Guide.
Tables can be booked on the website, and food can be ordered to take away. There is outdoor seating and a toilet, and you can pay by card or mobile. The entrance is not wheelchair accessible.
