This restaurant on Nyhavn in Copenhagen began as a sailors' tavern in 1937. A 1938 wall painting by the later COBRA painter Asger Jorn is preserved and listed as cultural heritage. It serves brunch, lunch with smørrebrød (Danish open sandwiches) and warm dishes, and classic and modern Danish dinner dishes, with live music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
You can book a table online, and large groups can book private events. There is outdoor seating, with beer, wine, cocktails and coffee, and a children's menu. Sport is shown on TV. The entrance is not wheelchair accessible.
