This is the trade association for all cinemas in Denmark, from small cinemas to large multiplexes and chains. Its aim is to preserve the business base of as many cinemas as possible and to increase audience visits. Member cinemas are described as local cultural centres, alongside schools and sports clubs.
The association runs an interactive map of Danish cinemas and works with partners such as the Danish Film Institute, the Association of Film Distributors in Denmark and kino.dk. It publishes the annual BIOGRAFÅRET and runs joint promotional days with special offers at cinemas.
