This library in Viby, part of Aarhus Libraries, was inaugurated in 1956 and serves as a cultural meeting point for the local area. It is close to Viby Torv, the town square, and has event halls, study rooms and a children's library with a play area. The local history archive for Viby is also housed here.
On the 1st floor, citizen service helps with passports, driving licences and MitID by advance booking, and rooms can be borrowed or rented for meetings and events. Each November the library hosts the music festival Rytmer udenfor Ringgaden, with live music, talks and a children's Saturday. Library card holders get free access from home to services such as eReolen, PressReader and film and TV streaming. The entrance and parking are wheelchair accessible.
