This non-commercial art hall focuses on camera-based art such as photography, video, installation and algorithms. Founded in Aarhus in 1977 as the first photography gallery in the Nordic countries, it was for several years the only exhibition space in Denmark dedicated to photography. It stages five to six exhibitions a year by Danish and international artists, and holds a photobook collection and a collection of photographic works donated by artists.
Seminars linked to current exhibitions are held several times a year, and groups, companies and schools can book guided tours. Demorummet, a street-facing exhibition window, is viewable around the clock. The entrance and parking are not wheelchair accessible.
