This grassroots gallery in Aarhus gives artists who are psychiatric service users, or who have psychological difficulties, the chance to exhibit. Psychologically healthy artists may also exhibit, and the service users run the gallery themselves. It opened in 1980, following the late chief physician Johannes Nielsen's work with artists with mental illness. The premises were once a storage space. Past exhibitors include Ovartaci and Jørgen Rud.
The gallery has a membership association, holds an auction and runs a volunteer scheme. Exhibition hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 2 to 5 pm, when a show is on.
