This self-governing foundation in Aarhus was established in 1907 by the Methodist Church in Denmark. Its purpose is to run social institutions and support social work, including congregational diaconia and further training in the field. It is governed by a board of six members, elected by the Methodist Church's annual conference for three-year terms.
It includes Øgadehuset and Betaniahjemmet with 60 dwellings over four floors, one section of which is for residents with dementia. The foundation also distributes grants; applications are submitted digitally on an application form. Annual reports and statutes are available on its website.
