This Japanese restaurant and takeaway specialises in Japanese curry (kare raisu), called Japan's national dish and originally developed for the Japanese army. The menu also has curry udon, yakiudon, karaage (crispy chicken) and onigiri, rice balls filled with teriyaki chicken or tuna. It serves neither sushi nor ramen. The curry is mild by default, with an extra-spicy option.
There are vegetarian options for the curry and curry udon, and the yakiudon and teriyaki don are vegan. You can eat in, take away or have food delivered, and there is a children's menu and outdoor seating. For allergies, call or e-mail before ordering. Tables cannot be reserved, and the entrance is not wheelchair accessible.
