This free primary school was founded in 1974 by a group of parents and moved from Tommerup to Odense in 1991. It is organised in three stages: Indskolingen (early years), Mellemtrinet (middle years) and Overbygningen (upper years). The pedagogy rests on community, nature, travel, drama, music, visual arts and movement, and each class goes on camp once a year, the youngest within Denmark and the oldest to a European country.
There is an after-school programme (SFO) for grades 0-3 and a club for grades 4-6. Parents are welcome to call or write for help with enrolment, and an open house is held on a Saturday in September. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
