This museum in Odense is housed in half-timbered buildings from the 1600s and is part of Museum Odense. Exhibitions cover Odense's history from the Viking Age to the Renaissance, the Viking ring fortress Nonnebakken, Scandinavia's oldest human and Denmark's oldest runes, and the sculptor Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen. There is also a silver collection and a children's museum.
The ticket includes free entry to the Carl Nielsen Museum, about 200 metres away. The main building from 2013 has a lift and an accessible toilet, but the older houses have steps and stairs. The entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible; the parking is not.
