This reconstructed Iron Age village lies in the Stavids ådal valley in natural surroundings, about five km from central Odense. It has rebuilt houses, a smithy and a stave barn, with sheep and lambs in spring. Visitors can explore the houses, go rune hunting with children and play Iron Age games. In high season, volunteers dressed as Iron Age people demonstrate crafts. It was founded in 1973 and is run by a volunteer association.
The shop sells coffee, ice cream, mead and handmade souvenirs. There are school programmes for all ages, and the village can be hired for private parties. Opening hours vary by season. Entrance, parking and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
