This organic farm shop is on a family-run farm in Brændekilde, southwest of Odense, run by the second generation. The farm was split off from the Brændekilde parsonage in 1927, the family bought it in 1987 and it went organic in 1992. It raises Hereford cattle, Texel sheep, outdoor pigs and free-range poultry, and grows bread wheat, field beans and peas. The shop sells beef, lamb, pork, chicken, duck and goose, plus honey from its own hives and juice from its own apples.
The shop is self-service and open every day, with staff on Wednesday afternoons. Meat can be ordered online. Events such as a sheep day and a harvest market run through the year, and schools and institutions can arrange a visit.
