This supermarket in Copenhagen is part of Coop, and the chain grew out of the Danish brugsforeninger (consumer cooperatives) and the cooperative idea. The shelves hold Coop's own brands such as Coop, Änglamark (organic), Irma, Xtra and Cirkel Kaffe, as well as ready-made delicatessen from Madcooperativet.
The chain works with organic and local Danish products and cooperates with, among others, Frijsenborg, Hestbjerg and Poppelgris. Ready-made menus for occasions such as Mortensaften, julefrokost (the traditional Christmas lunch) and New Year can be ordered, and Coop members get member benefits.
