The complex consists of Idrætshuset, which opened in 1914, and Østerbro Stadion, which opened in 1912 as Denmark's first athletics stadium. Idrætshuset has one large hall and four smaller ones. The stadium is approved for international-level athletics and is also used for second-division football. It is the home ground of the football club B93, for both women's and men's football.
Six famous statues around the stadium were donated by the Carlsberg Foundation. The statues and Idrætshuset were given protected status in 2009. The stadium can be rented by contacting the booking team. The entrance, parking and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
