This non-profit dance association in Copenhagen offers courses and social events in West Coast Swing, a modern partner dance known for soft, elastic movement, improvisation and connection between partners. There are fixed weekly courses for beginners and improvers, each running for a set number of weeks. Both beginners and experienced dancers are welcome.
On alternate Fridays in odd weeks there is a workshop from 6.30 to 7.30 pm, followed by a guided practice and a social until 10 pm at Svanemøllehallen. The music is mainly pop, and zouk and fusion dancers are welcome. All courses and events are for members, and membership can be bought online. The website has a page on the history of the dance, from Lindy Hop in Harlem to blues, soul, R&B and pop.
