This market is held every year in Valbyparken in Copenhagen at Whitsun. Over 1,000 participants, including vikings, knights, craftsmen and jugglers, fill hundreds of tents. The programme includes mounted knight tournaments with lances, viking and medieval battles, fire shows and live music on historical instruments.
Children can try archery and viking sword training and watch a smith forge iron and a potter shape clay. Bonfire food and mead are part of the experience. Tickets are sold in advance on the website, and the market is a historical experience for the whole family. Entrance and parking are wheelchair accessible.
