This membership organisation for children, fathers and parents was founded in 1977 and works for shared parenting and equal rights for both parents in law and administration. Its aim is for children to stay in close contact with both parents in every family form, and it also supports relevant research on children and families. It publishes an annual parents' survey and an annual report on children and fathers.
The organisation offers free, confidential counselling every week, in person and online, as well as self-help groups for parents that are open around the clock online. It organises walks for fathers and runs a national violence centre for fathers. It is based in Symbion in Østerbro.
